Creating Your Own Kids' Birthday Invitations

You can save money by printing your own birthday party invitations.

Birthday parties can be expensive, but creating your own birthday invitations will save you a little money. Creating your birthday invitations is easy with Microsoft Word and a printer. Microsoft Word offers a variety of templates you can download, which create invitations. The templates are available in many themes for different occasions. You can also personalize the invitations to your liking.

Instructions

1. Open Microsoft Word on your computer. Create a new document by choosing "File" and "New" or clicking on the Office button on the top left hand corner and choose "New." Another window that consists of templates will pop up.

2. Click on "Invitations" in the left-hand corner that includes a list of templates. Click on "Party Invitations." You will see numerous themes of party invitations to choose from.

3. Choose the desired template and download it. Personalize the template in Microsoft Word by adding details and information about the event. You can also change the font, color and size of the text.

4. Print your invitation once you have completed designing the invitation. If you plan on fold the invitation in half, make sure the greeting text stays on the outside of the fold as you fold the paper into a card.
