dog needs love and patience.
A puppy mill is first and foremost a business. Because costs are minimized as much as possible, dogs that are used for breeding in a puppy mill are rarely given the proper attention. Puppies should ideally be socialized by three months, but if you have rescued an adult dog from a puppy mill, odds are that it has not been socialized at all. With consistency and patience, you can help your dog adjust to its new home. Some dogs will learn to socialize within weeks, while others take months. Still, some dogs may never fully socialize but can still lead happy lives with your love and support.
Instructions
1. Offer treats regularly. The more the dog associates treats with seeing you, the more likely it will be to become comfortable with you.
2. Avoid sneaking up on your dog. Always stand in front of it to avoid unnecessary surprises.
3. Praise your pet often and use pleasant tones.
4. Offer your hand to pet your dog, but allow it to come to you first. Your rescued pup is completely unused to human interaction and it will take some time to trust you.
5. Avoid pushing your dog too quickly. Practice patience and allow your pet to adjust in its own time.
