Hefner Road Pet Resort
Hefner Road Pet Resort has a two-story, climate-controlled facility for cats and dogs. It offers room service, playtime, splash pool access and spa services that include daily brushing, massaging baths, pedicures and grooming. Canine suites come in four different sizes ranging from the deluxe suites, which are 3.5 by 6.5 feet, to the theme suites, which are approximately five by seven feet and include a stuffed chair or pillow and a personal TV tuned to the Animal Planet. Feline suites are spacious individual bi-level condos with an "ocean view" of the resort's 125-gallon aquarium. Lucky Dog Lodge
Lucky Dog Lodge offers dogs a four-by-12-foot extra large indoor/outdoor run for $28 per night, or double door suites that are twice as big as the standard run for $54, and a cat condo costs $18 per night, as of 2010. All dogs are allowed out of the run once or twice a day, and extra supervised playtime in their fenced-in playground is available for an additional $5. Playtime in the Kitty Purr Room is included in the basic price for cats. Pets are provided with a thick lambskin mat during their stay and may bring their own toys from home, if they're clearly labeled. The lodge has a state-of-the-art grooming room with two raised washing tubs, a large walk-in shower and custom caging and drying facilities. The special Lucky Dog Lodge cuisine consists of premium dry kibble mixed with warm chicken stock and white rice. Pets on special diets should bring their own food. All pets receive a treat at bedtime.
