Design a Pet Sitter Flyer
Owning a pet-sitting business is very exciting, and a great way to market your business is through designing and posting flyers. There are several ways in which to design a flyer. Using graphic design software such as InDesign or Quark is ideal, but as many people do not have access to these programs, this article explains design a flyer in Microsoft Word using Miscrosoft's downloadable templates.
It is also possible to purchase pre-made petting sitting flyer templates from online companies. Links to these companies are provided in the "Tips" section.

1. Open your internet browser and go to office.Microsoft.com and click on "Templates" in the top menu bar.
2. Scroll down to browse templates and click on "Flyers." You may then browse the various types of flyer templates. Please note: While there is not one specific flyer for pet-sitting businesses, choose the color and style of template you prefer, and you will be able to edit the photos and text in a later step.
3. Select the template you wish to use by clicking on the image or title (make sure the "Version" is Word compatible) and click "Download." Accept the Microsoft Service Agreement and then "Save" the template. The template will automatically open in Microsoft Word.
4. Customize the template by adding your own photos and text. To delete the template photos, simply click on the photo and click "Delete." Then go to the "Insert" tab and click "Picture" to select which photo you would like to add. If you don't have your own photos to add, you can find inexpensive stock photos of pets online on websites such as istockphoto.com. To customize your text, simply highlight the text you want to change, and then start typing.
5. Save your document. It is now ready to print and distribute.
