Chickens make good pets. They don't require much upkeep, they are relatively inexpensive and they provide good companionship. In addition, chickens can lay fresh eggs, eliminate garden pests and supply a good natural fertilizer. Giving away baby chickens is an easy process; it won't take you long to find good homes for your chicks.
Instructions
1. Create an ad. Indicate the age of the chicks, whether they're male or female and what type of chicken they are. You might want to post a picture of the chickens in the ad as well.
2. Put the ad in your local newspaper or print flyers and distribute them locally at your public library, grocery store or bookstore. Craigslist and eBay are popular websites on which to post online advertisements for pets.
3. Evaluate and thoroughly vet anyone offering to take your baby chickens before you give them away. People who want your chicks should be knowledgeable about chickens and have the means and will to give them a healthy, caring and sustainable home.
