To unlock the virtual fun of Webkinz pets, you need to get Webkinz World to load successfully on your computer.
As of June 2010, there were 344 different Webkinz pets available--from the popular American Cocker Spaniel to the mythical Bubblegumasaurus. While you can cuddle and play with the plush pets in your own house, if you can't log on to Webkinz World, you can't visit, feed, dress or play games with their virtual counterparts. Getting Webkinz World unblocked and successfully loaded on your computer will more than double your fun with the popular stuffed animals.
Instructions
1. Check that your computer meets the minimum requirements for loading Webkinz World. Your computer needs to have at least: 1.2 MHz hard drive or higher, 512 MB RAM, Windows OS 2000/XP or Mac OS X 10.3 and a monitor resolution of 1024x768.
2. Make sure you are using an Internet browser that can work with Webkinz. If necessary, update your browser to at least: Internet Explorer 6, Netscape 7.2, Firefox 1.0, AOL Explorer 1.5 or Safari 1.2.3 or higher.
3. Install the latest version of Adobe Flash player for free from the Adobe.com website.
4. Webkinz requires the use of pop-up windows. If you have a pop-up blocker installed, add www.webkinz.com to the list of exempt sites.
5. Verify that Webkinz World is not blocked by any of your anti-virus or parental control programs. Add www.webkinz.com to the list of allowed sites to each program.
6. If you are using an anti-virus, pop-up blocker or parental control program that requires full IP addresses, manually add the Webkinz IP addresses to the list of acceptable sites. Webkinz' official IP addresses include: 66.48.69.98, mci10.webkinz.com, mci2.webkinz.com, shared.webkinz.com, kinzpost.webkinz.com, mu1.webkinz.com, 66.48.83.161, 66.48.83.162, 66.48.83.163, 66.48.83.164 and 66.48.83.165.
7. Clear your browser's cache by deleting the Temporary Internet Files folder.
