Chihuahuas are available in "Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends," "Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends" and "Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends." The chihuahua is immediately available in "Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends," but you need to unlock the Chihuahua in the other two games. Because of their small size, Chihuahuas are often favored by "Nintendogs" players.
Instructions
In "Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends"
1. Start a new game. You'll get some money to purchase a dog and some toys.
2. Select the Chihuahua from the list of available dogs. Press "A" to purchase it.
3. Name your Chihuahua. After it is named, you'll be taken to your room so you can play with your dog.
In "Nintendogs: Labrador and Friends" and "Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends"
4. Obtain 50,000 owner points by taking care of your dogs and playing with them. Once you have reached 50,000 owner points, you'll be able to purchase a Chihuahua.
5. Use "Bark Mode" to sync up with someone who owns a copy of "Nintendogs: Chihuahua and Friends" if you don't want to spend your time getting 50,000 points. "Bark Mode" is the wireless connection feature in the games.
6. Have your friend bring his Chihuahua over to play with your dogs in "Bark Mode." Once your friend leaves, you'll be able to purchase a Chihuahua.
