Hotels Near Fort Howard Maryland

The United States military operated the artillery base Fort Howard until 1940, and the Department of Veterans Affairs continues to provide care at a hospital. Today, Fort Howard, Maryland, is a small community on a peninsula that juts out into the Chesapeake Bay. The nearby 1,310-acre North Point State Park site offers recreational and historical interest, as it marks the War of 1812 site where British forces landed before the Battle of Baltimore.
