Johnny's Reef
The well-known Johnny's Reef restaurant provides many fried seafood combinations in large portions to please the most hungry customers. Situated on the southern tip of City Island, this restaurant offers a particularly excellent view of the waterfront surrounding the island. The restaurant is a local landmark. Robert De Niro used the setting in his film "A Bronx Tale." Seagulls can be heard overhead it you sit in Johnny's outdoor seating area. Located on the north end of City Island, the Seashore Restaurant & Marina is an expensive but succulent addition to the City Island restaurant lineup. It offers a romantic view and elegant decor. This restaurant serves sushi in addition to classic seafood favorites, such as clams, salmon, and shrimp. Many gourmet arrangements are available to suit the most discretionary diner of high standards. Shrimp Francese and sauteed scallops are among some of the restaurant's specialties.
