Volunteers can help in a number of ways, including walking the dogs, grooming animals, answering phones and spreading awareness of the shelter's work.
2. Make a donation to the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. Call the shelter and inform the employees that you would like to contribute to their cause. They accept donations of money as well as pet food and supplies. To donate pet supplies or food, simply bring the materials into the shelter and place them in the donation box. To donate money, call the shelter and ask make a monetary donation. Make sure to get a receipt for your donations, which can be written off your income taxes.
3. Adopt one of the dogs at the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. Its website contains a list of dogs that are up for adoption, and you can go into the shelter to meet the dogs personally.
