Reach Out to the Homeless
Provide aid to a homeless shelter. There are thousands of people that can use gently worn clothes simply because they cannot afford to buy clothes from regular department stores. In addition, volunteer at a local homeless shelter and serve in the food line. Taking personal time to serve your fellow man demonstrates a high level of kindness that pierces the soul of a hurting individual.
Extend a Helping Hand to Parents
Provide childcare services to a married couple who has several children. This simple act of kindness will help the couple spend quality time together and foster a stronger relationship between them. Offer to take the children of a neighbor to the park or a movie while their parents go out to dinner. The sky is the limit to what you can do to assist a couple in having the opportunity to reignite their flames of passion.
Touch the Lives of Those who are Suffering
Reach out to persons who are suffering from terminal illnesses. One example would be to take stuffed animals to the local children's hospital. Another example would be to participate in different marathons, run-walks and other fundraisers that benefit persons who have medical challenges or terminal diseases.
Preserve the Environment for the Future
Demonstrate kindness towards the environment. Change regular light bulbs to halogen based light bulbs. Walk to work instead of driving a car that pollutes the environment. Pick-up paper off the ground along a major roadway or street to keep the area beautified.
