Instructions For The Gameloft "Catz" Game

Raise a virtual cat without all the real-life mess.

"Catz" is a game designed for the Nintendo GameBoy Color by a company called Gamelot and published by a company called UBI Soft. "Catz" allows you to raise a virtual cat as a pet. It gives you the option to feed the cat, play with the cat and even purchase clothes for it to wear. In order to properly play the game you need to understand the basics of the control scheme.

Instructions

1. Insert your "Catz" game cartridge into the back of your GameBoy Color. The label on the cartridge should be facing away from the GameBoy. Flip the "Power" switch to the "On" position to load the game's main menu.

2. Select "New Game" from the main menu. Select which cat you would like to adopt from the menu on screen. Use the game's virtual keyboard to type a name for your cat. The cat is now your virtual pet.

3. Use the directional pad on the front of the GameBoy Color to select menu items in the game. You can choose to feed your cat, give your cat toys to play with, train your cat and more. Highlight a menu option with the directional pad and select it with the "A" button.

4. Train your cat through repetition. The more often you select the training categories from the menu, the more likely you are to successfully train your cat. Training a cat unlocks additional cats for you to raise and play with.

5. Pay attention to your cat's mood and health. Playing with your cat and giving it toys improves its mood, while regularly feeding your cat allows it to stay healthy.
