Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock offers volunteer opportunities for adults or high school students. These volunteers work in direct or indirect patient care. Volunteers must work three-hour shifts at the same time each week for at least three months. Those hoping to help at the hospital must submit an application.

Hot Springs National Park Maintenance Volunteer
Hot Springs National Park hosts the Gulpha George Campground in Arkansas' natural forests. The campground needs volunteers for basic maintenance such as cleaning the visitor center and restrooms, answering campers' questions and picking up trash. Some training is provided.

Friends of the Central Arkansas Libraries
Many volunteer opportunities are available through Friends of the Central Arkansas Libraries. Volunteers sort and shelve books, work at book sales, assist at the organization's bookstore and assist in outreach programs. Membership is not required for volunteering.
